Last night we watched a new Lakefair Queen be crowned! It rained all day and then right before the event the skies cleared, well not cleared but the rain stopped!! The girls were amazing. They each had to answer an onstage question, wow what amazing speakers they are. Each girl receives a scholarship for being a princes and then the winner gets another scholarship. These girls have spent their time public speaking throughout our community. The judges attend their speaking engagements and really get to know them.

Lakefair has been a community event since 1957! It is so fun to be a part of, it's like a reunion, so many people come back to visit Olympia during this time of year. Tomorrow is the Grande Parade we are hoping for Sun!!!
